A new beginning – The Making of the new BLEEP
For years people have asked me “When are you going to make another BLEEP” and for years I’ve been saying NEVER! Well never has apparently arrived as I have just begun making the 10 year anniversary film “What The Bleep: Now What?!”.
It’s interesting to consider making another film – asking ourselves -contemplating how do we do that? We don’t want to re-create the past (Isn’t that big part of what we said in the first film!), but we want to honor the spirit of the first film.
For me that spirit was in asking the questions, exploring ideas and concepts with the desire to understand how they impact me in my everyday life. So much of what we explored in the first film was theoretical and is now pretty common place – especially when it comes to neuroscience. Dr. Joe Dipseneza is exploring how we can heal our bodies and is now using FMRI imaging to show that it is possible, the brain mapping and imaging now available is light years away from what we knew even 10 years ago and what we know about genetics and our DNA and the capacity to do amazing things is mind boggling and exciting. The proof is in the pudding and the research is now showing the proof our scientists want…progress is being made, but we still have a long way to go.
We are exploring where quantum physics has reached in terms of understanding the nature of our reality and what it’s implications are to us. We are re-examining some of the concepts from the original BLEEP and how we have may have gotten it wrong a few times. I enjoyed talking again with Dean Radin and Fred Alan Wolf about their new research and the research inspired by the original BLEEP. How the double slit animation inspired Dean to try it out for real and how the water crystals, while cool were not repeatable…what does that mean? You’ll have to watch the movie to find out!
We spent some time with two religious scholars and explored how we humans interact with the spirit, the cross section between science and mysticism and how together they can take us into the next paradigm… or a new world of collaboration and connection. The dimensions are expanding and how we are expanding into them.
My biggest take away from the last two days of filming is that we do exist in a sea of possibility, but connecting to that, making a detectable impact takes practice, it’s not something to be entered into lightly and there are no 5 easy steps.
This is just the beginning…who knows Now What??? It’s a rabbit hole for sure.
